Objective

In 2018, West Bengal Government launched a monthly pension scheme for the disabled and physically challenged people in the state. This scheme aims at social and financial security of the disabled people. It will help them be self-reliant irrespective of their disability and other situations.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Specially-abled person having 40% or more disability.
  2. Applicant must be a resident of West Bengal for at least 10 years.
  3. This scheme is applicable to both Men and Women.
  4. The applicant does not receive any pension from the State / Central Government or any other sources.

Benefits

Financial assistance in the form of monthly pension of ₹1000/- per month.

Method of Applying

The scheme's Application Form will be available at Duare Sarkar Camps / Office of the Block Development Officer / Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer. The following documents / certificates must be submitted along with the application form:

  1. Self-attested photo-copies of Ration Card / Voter Card / Aadhaar Card.
  2. Coloured passport size photograph of the applicant.
  3. Photo-copy of the page of bank pass-book which provided details of the account holder's name, account no., bank address, IFS Code and MICR No.
  4. Certificate of disability (PWD) issued by the appropriate authority.
